Cities Without Houses: all the highlights from this summer

To coincide with Ireland Fashion Week, we brought The Runway, a Design Guild Dinner presented by CWH in partnership with Ireland Fashion Week and Slancha, to the 14th floor of The EXO Building for an evening celebrating Irish fashion and design. Bringing together designers, artists, tastemakers and creative voices from across Ireland, the evening explored the people, ideas and influences shaping the future of Irish fashion through food, conversation, culture, and creative expression. The event was supported by Dublin Airport, marking the launch of a new member benefit for Soho House Dublin Cities Without Houses members.

 

Our CWH-founded Wax Tales series travelled to new cities over the summer, where members gathered for conversations around music and discovery. Each edition saw a surprise guest select 12 records that have influenced their life and career, with stories and discussions set against a state-of-the-art speaker installation. In Singapore, members heard from singer-songwriter Benjamin Kheng, while Sydney welcomed Dan Sultan to Machine Hall, with vinyls played by JR Reyne. In Atlanta, we were joined by The-Dream to celebrate the release of his new album, Love/Hate II.

 

To celebrate the arrival of Formula 1® in Madrid, we brought Soho Race Club, powered by Porsche, to the Spanish capital for a weekend dedicated to all things motorsports. Created exclusively for our CWH members, the race-themed pop-up captured the excitement of Grand Prix weekend with live race screenings, Picantes, food and drink, and a series of racing-inspired games and experiences. Members also had the opportunity to test drive a Porsche 911, experiencing the performance, precision, and engineering behind one of the brand’s most iconic models first-hand.

 

To mark the end of summer, our CWH Lisbon members gathered at the picturesque Ponto Final restaurant for dinner overlooking the Tagus. The evening began with signature Picantes, before members dined as the sun set, accompanied by views across the river and city.

 

To celebrate women in entrepreneurship, our CWH members in Atlanta came together for an evening of conversation, cooking, and connection hosted by Valerie Williams of the Soho House Inclusivity Board and Julia Kesler Imerman, founder of local cafe favourite Daily Chew. Bringing together founders, creatives, and entrepreneurs from across the city, they explored the power of community, shared knowledge, and mentorship in building more equitable opportunities for the next generation.

 

Our members in New Delhi gathered at the newly opened Sri Lankan restaurant Zetu for an afternoon exploring portrait sculpture as a powerful means of connection. Guided by local member and Florence Academy-trained sculptor Niyamat Mehta, guests created sculptures of someone they love before enjoying seasonal canapes and drinks together afterwards.

Our CWH members in Vancouver were invited to a special open house with the sustainable jewellery designer, Pamela Card. Hosted at her East Railtown studio, the gathering offered members the opportunity to explore the latest collection and gain insight into her creative process – from concept to craftsmanship. Over drinks and small bites, members connected with fellow creatives and enjoyed a glimpse inside one of the city’s most distinctive independent design studios.

As part of our One Night Only dinner series, our CWH members in Washington D.C. headed to Iron Gate to mark midsummer with an evening of seasonal cooking, conversation, and community. Inspired by the traditions of midsummer, the evening celebrated long nights and the simple pleasure of sharing a meal together.

 

Soho House and Vogue Singapore brought together fashion leaders, creative voices and industry partners for a special evening celebrating the image-makers shaping the future. Guests enjoyed cocktails and a special presentation showcasing this year’s Vogue Talent Prize finalist campaigns, followed by dinner and thought-provoking conversation.

 

For our second edition of Spinning Plates in partnership with Crack Magazine, we hosted our CWH Leeds members at Soho House Manchester for an evening blending music, food, and storytelling. Electronic music producer and DJ Yu Su joined our House chefs for a collaborative three-course tasting menu inspired by a bespoke selection of records curated for the evening. Seasonal dishes were paired with drinks by Patrón, resulting in an immersive dining experience. 

 

We invited our Scotland CWH members to White City House in London for a day of creativity, wellbeing and connection, complete with masterclasses from Suli Breaks and Emma Grede, alongside talks and workshops throughout the day. The programme continued into the evening with canapes, drinks and a DJ set from Sonique to close a day of wellness and self-development.
